2016 Christmas Photo Layout - Canvas Corp Brands Creative Crew

Today I´m sharing a layout I made from my Christmas Craft Kit that I put together for Canvas Corp brands. Every year since my son was born in 2004, we have had a Christmas photo shoot.  Making a layout with the picture has also become a tradition for me.

I used the following products from the kit:
  • Canvas Corp Printed Cardstock Papers 12″x12″ – Grey & Ivory Mini Dot, Farmhouse Christmas Stripe, Farmhouse Christmas Tags, Black & Ivory Chicken Wire, Sketched Trees and Sketched Snowflakes.
  • Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists – Abominable Snowman & Pearl
  • Reindeer Tag

Deer Forest Cards - Indigo Blu Guest Designer

Hello Crafty Souls!

I´m thrilled to be back on the IndigoBlu blog as Guest Designer today and I want to share the cards I made with you too!

Kay kindly sent me the Deer Forest A6 stamp to play and I crated these two holiday themed cards using it.

For this first card I stamped and embossed with black fine embossing powder. I fussy cut out the image and added it with 3D stickers on my card. Using black make the Deer´s really pop - it kind of reminds of a forest at night and the animals lid up by a car light.

The Merry Christmas sentiment come from the stamp set Here comes Santa.

This second card was made with the same technique, but instead of black I chose golden embossing powder to achive a more festive look.

I hope you like my projects!

Thank you for stepping by the Indigo Blu blog today.

Best Wishes

"Gather Mystery" - Mixed Media & Art Design Team

Hello Creative Souls!

I´m here today to with my inspiration piece for the November Challenge at Mixed Media & Art.

I was meaning to make a layout but could not find a suitable photo, but when sorting trough my stuff I found a pack of rub ons from Architextures that that had some lovely wall hangings and some other architectural pieces that was much alike those in the moodboard. I ended up layering them togheter with bases from an Architextures Junk Pack and different shades of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. I must say I love how the spread turned out! What do you think?

I created this Art Journal spread with inspiration from the moodboard below:

Thank you for stepping by today! I hope I could inspire you to create something for this months challenge.

A Beautiful Mind

The New Collections from 7 Dots Studio landed in my craft room this week and man - DeeDee & Tusia did a amazing job - again! Since I´m no longer a part of the Design Team I have the chance to play along with the challenges!

This is this months challenge board (a click on the picture will take you to the challeng):

I created this layout using papers & embellishments from Paint Chips. I have always dreamed of a dog, but time is not there for our family. We know better than buying a dog we can´t focus 100% on. BUT if we would ever get one it would be a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. The little raven like dog has all things I like - fun, curious, soft and of a perfect size. Well, the picture speaks for itself.

The Chipboard comes from Scrap FX & the splatters of mist are of course Tattered Angels Mists. As you can see I tore the patterned paper apart, cut it to a smaller size and then sew it on a older patterned paper from 7 Dots Studio. I distressed the edges with a scissor after sewing but if I had been a bit more clever I would have done it before. Well - it´s easy to be backwise...

I hope you like my layout! I would love if you left me a comment telling me what you think.

So long for today!

The Magic of Christmas - Scap FX Design Team

I continue showing you Christmas inspired projects this November. Today a layout I made for the Scrap FX Design Team Blog. They have a vide range of Christmas themes Chipboards that is just fantastic and I was inspired to create this layout with pieces of from the collections.

The layout has a patterned paper from 7 Dots Studio as base and I added a beautiful photo as focal point. The Chipboards are part of the cluster that surrounds the photo and I really love how it turned out.
