Unique - Berry71Bleu Design Team

My project for the August at Berry71Bleu  with a moodboard by Jessika is all about the unique surroundings of where I live. The nature here is amazing - a combination of endless sea, steep mountains, wild rivers and green forests. You can find several old historical buildings and villages. The area is a big source of inspiration and a lot of artists has settled to live here.

I made this layout with a picture of one of the bridges in Olofsfors Bruk. I love the colors and they fit SO well with the moodboard. I have used a paper from 7 Dots Studio together with Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels, Chipboard from Scrap FX, Flair from Um Wow Studio and stamps from 7gypsies, Prima and 7 Dots Studio. I really love how it turned out!

If you want to visit some of the artists that surrounds me I have made a short list down below:

Fortune Teller Jewel Box - 7 Dots Studio Design Team

Today I want to share a altered wood box that I transformed into a Jewel box using papers from the Fortune Teller Collection from 7 Dots Studio.

The base of this project is a simple wood box with hinges that I painted with acrylics and crackle paste. To highlight the cracks and the sides of the box I dry brushed paint on the spots that I wanted to be in focus. I painted the inside of the box with two tones of blue and then when dry added pieces of patterned paper and a sentiment sticker inside the lid.

I really love how the lid of the box turned out! I cut a piece out the eye from the "Soul" paper and glued it to the top of the lid. I also added a die cut heart and a sentiment sticker. To seal the surface and make it really durable I used a product called Diamond Resin. It is a two component resin that dry clear and really, really hard. It also create a dept and dimensional effect to the patterned paper.

Of course the Jewel box need some jewels inside! I cut out small pieces from the Fortune Teller 6x6 paper pad, mounted them in bezels and sealed with Diamond Resin again. I used sentiment stickers on one of the bezels. They can be used together all 3 or just one at the time.

Thank you for visiting today!

I have used these products from 7 Dots Studio:

Fortune Teller Word Stickers
Fortune Teller 6x6 paper pad
Fortune Teller - Soul - 12x12 paper
Fortune Teller Die-cut Elements

Metallic Colors or texture (August Challenge) - 7 DOTS STUDIO Design Team

This months challenge at 7 Dots Studio is all about Metallic colors and textures. Metallic really is a great topic for a challenge. The possibilities of interpretation is endless, I mean – metallic can be so much, and used in so many different way. I wanted to make a really shiny but yet classy project. I came up with the idea of stamping on a tag with a script stamp from the Soulmates Collection.

By using Flitter Glue & Mega Flakes I got a cool metallic effect. I used the same technique when stamping the feathers from the Fortune Teller stamp set. Then I layered paper scraps and die cuts from Fortune Teller togheter with a piece of old lace and flowers. A word sticker tie everything together. I´m really happy with the result. I think the tag both looks cool, romantic and shiny.

The rules are as simple as A, B, C:- create any project inspired by the theme – Metallic Colors

Speak from the Heart - Words & Paintery Creative Team

It has been awfully quiet her for a while. Bus I am here today to share my project for this months Words & Paintery Challenge. I made this canvas using the colors in the moodboard. The canvas is a was sent to a friend from the Canvas Corp Brands Team that has had a really rough time lately. I hope she will like it!

I used a Stretched Natural Canvas from Canvas Corp as base for the project. I painted it with white Heavy Gesso and then used the Burst Stnecil from 7 Dots Studios "Homegrown" collection together with Modeling Paste. I applied a piece of vintage lace then the heart I made from wire.

Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist works on any surface and give such a beautiful shimmer to your projects. I just love all of my Tattered Angels Mists.... I used lilacs, browns and pinks for this - Black Cherry is deep pink, Fully Purple perfectly lilac and Coffee Shop settled brown. I also splattered on Tattered Angels Baseboard Mist in the color Gerber. The baseboard is semi opaque and without glimmer, which makes if perfect both as base layer or for popping splatters.

My addiction to 7 Dots Studio sentiment stickers is big - here a two from the Homegrown Collection stickers sheet.

Now - head over to the Words & Paintery Blog to see the gorgeous projects from the rest of our team!

I have used products from Tattered Angels, Canvas Home Basics, 7 Dots Studio, Finnabair for Prima Marketing, Prima Marketing.

Arty Tags - Scrap FX Design Team

My first project for Scrap FX this month is a arty tag set. I have used different arty chipboards; Art Pen NibsSketchy Stars and the Paintbrush Flourish. The tags look rather complicated but truly was simple to make.

Both tags where painted with lilac acrylic paint - one with matte and one with metallic paint. To get a background texture I applied modeling paste trough a starburst stencil and then layered chipboard, lace, tags and flowers on top. Paint splatters - have you ever seen one of my projects without them? Tattered Angels has a wide range of suitable mists and paints for this type of project.

The stickers and tag comes from 7 Dots Studio Thoughts Keeper Collection. I have used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in the colors Fully Purple & Dried Lavendar. I also splatterd on Tattered Angels Chalkboard Mist in Chalk (white).
