Lost Family Lady - IndigoBlu Design Team

My first project for this month for the IndigoBlu team is a layout made with Acrylics, Kroma Crackle, stamps and vintage a vintage photo.

As background I used a plain white cardstock that I prepped with GeeSso Good Gesso. When dry I added the acrylics blended with water. A bit of stamping with black waterproof ink and a stamp from the Grand Tour II stamp set.

Kroma Crackle gives an extra effect to the background. Especially when highlighted with at bit of stamp ink.

A bit of flowers, a piece of cheese cloth, a badge and a couple of vintage buttons as decorations fit perfectly with the feeling of the card.

Sometimes you don´t have the right photo for what you want to accomplish, then don´t hesitate to take a pre made one. I have used one from the Lost Family Paper Pad

Wanderlust book & Girl/Boy card set - Scrap FX Design Team

I´m here today to share by late month projects for April - a book cover using the small Sea Scene Corner, the #travel words & two cards using the Girl & Boy Tokens. Let´s start with the book.

This book cover was really fast and easy to make. A perfect project when you need something to take with you to a dinner party and you have forgot to buy a gift.

I simply cut a piece of paper to fit the front of my journal (I used a piece from 7dots Studios new Fortune-teller collection), then used plain school glue to add it to the cover. To spruce up the Sea Scene corner and #words I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists ("Verdigris"). I simply sprayed the mist over the pieces and dried it with my heat gun. Two die cut banners complimentary in style and I splatted more Glimmer Mist ("Blue Bubbles") to give some extra highlights to the project.

Now to my second project. Or second and third considering it is a set of two cards. These cards where simply made by using scraps of paper. The tokens give the cards the real wow factor I think. First a girly card using the Girl Tokens.

Both cards where made the same way - by layering patterned papers & die cuts (from 7dots Studio) and simply embellish with flowers, metal, trinkets and spatters of Glimmer Mist.

To make the token really pop I painted it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist ("Marmalade"). I used the same color together with a pink ("Party Pink") to splatter over the card. A project from me without paint splatter does not exist..

The other card was made with the same techniques, but this time I chose a male look (feeling very gender specific and unmodern here...).

As you can see I have painted the token on this card as well - this time with the color "Jack Frost". Again I have highlighted the card with splatters of mist ("Jack Frost" & "Blue Bubbles").

I think the tokens look perfect on these cards. They make a cool focal point when painted and really give the cards that extra wow factor.

This what I used from Scrap FX
  • Girl Tokens (2016081)
  • Boy Tokens (2016080)
  • Sea Scene Small (2016068S)
  • #Travel (2016079)

Never give up & be the change cards - Berry71Bleu Design Team

I´m up with these cards at the Berry71Bleu blog today. The April moodboard inspiered me to make two "cheer up" card that can be sent to a friend that really need some support. The sentiment stickers & papers from the new 7dots Studio collection Homegrown works so well with Glimmer Mist sprays in Lime Green. I just love the transformation from a white flower to a zinging green.

Indigo Dogs- IndigoBlu Design Team

I decided to use the Dukes Gang stamp set for my April project for Ingidoblu. I am a dog person even though I do not have one - I grew up with dogs and should really like having on. I do realize that time is to limited to fit a dog in our busy life.

I ended up making a tag and a small book box. Both where painted with Indigoblu Acrylic in the new color "Hunters Green". When dry I stamped with the "Bare Forest" stamp and embossed with black embossing powder.

Dukes gang was stamped and embossed or stamped and painted, cut our and then mounted with 3d squares. I painted with Acrylics and a water brush.

A bit of Glimmer Mist splatters finish of the projects.

Please visit the Indigoblu blog to see what some of the other girls made for the April joined post.

Idyllic Places - Scrap FX Design Team

Today I am sharing my first project for the Scrap FX design team. I love how this layout using the Touring Frame and the Idyllic Places chipboards.

A cote of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist ("Verdigris") really spruce up the Idyllic Places wordlet.

I love how the background turned out looking like snake skin. I applied texture paste (white sand) through the Seaweed stencil (from Scrap FX) then when dry I sprayed on several types of Tattered Angles mist - Glimmer Mist ("Verdigris", "Limeade", "Key Lime Pie", "Casper Green") - Baseboard Mist ("Daffodil").

The frame was first painted with white High Impact Paint, then Baseboard Mist (both Tattered Angels) and to finish it off a bit of Mica powder was applied.

A bit of paint splatters and some flowers finish off the project.

I have used products from Scrap FX (chipboard, stencil). Tattered Angels (Mist & Paint). 7dots Studio (papers and die cuts). 7gypsies (metal). Prima Marketing (flowers & mica powder).
