Love this Kid Art Journal - Scrap FX Design Team

The exploring combinations of paint, textures & Scrap FX products continues in my Art Journal today. This spread was made using both a stencil & several pieces of chipboard from Scrap FX. The small size journal from 7gypsies is perfect for this kind of project.

The Cool Circles Stencil form the base of this spread together with different mists from Tattered Angels. I simply applied Modeling paste trough the stencil, dried and applied layers of mists & water. When dry I added the chipboard that where embossed to get a grungy and colorful style.

Several colors of embossing powder makes the Love this Kid Wordlet look really cool. And the 13th & Brave etc mini looks pretty cool in other colors. They really pop I think.

I used these products from Scrap FX:
  • 2017306 Love this Kid
  • 2017304 Brave Etc Mini
  • 2016339 Cool circle stencil
  • 2016333-13 13th Mini

Other products from Tattered Angels, 7gypsies, Wow Embossing, Prima Marketing, Keisercraft.

Fearless fall tags - Words & Paintery Creative Team

Hi everyone! I´m here today with my project for this months challenge at Words & Paintery. I bit tricky color combination for me actually - but I do love a challenge. This is the challenge. Love the quote even though I could not find the place for it on my tags.

Words & Paintery has a collaboration with Fabrika Decoru this month and I made a small video tutorial on how I integrated their products in my project.

Art Journal "Fall Colors" - Scrap FX Design Team

Hi there crafty souls! Fall has come to the North of Sweden with it´s full bloom and today I want to share a new spread from my Scrap FX Art Journal. I found a couple of perfect items for a fall spread in my stash with Scrap FX products - the Autumn Colors WordletArrowlines & the really cool Circuit Boars Stencil.

The Circuit Board stencil is rather large and works for many types of projects. I would fit perfect for using on a layout but this time I picked it out for this spread. I wanted it to simulate pouring rain and rain drops (maybe a long shot but that is how I thought..). Together with modeling paste it adds texture and interest to the pages. Together with the arrowlines the it adds movement to the spread.

The Wordlet was to big so I cut it in two and added it to the spread. I used different shades of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists as colors. Blending them with water makes a water color effect appear. I used the colors "Doubloon", "Red Tipped Rose", "Vancouver" and "It´s Orange".  I love how it turned out! Details and process video below!

Be Fearless - MTW Challenge

I´m here today with my new layout featuring 7gypsies Architextures Collection. I made this layout for the current challenge at More than Worlds "Fearless & Grunge" (scroll down for the challenge board) that really appealed to me. I that things is not perfect so grungy - yes! And fearless is a word with many dimensions. Both good and bad.

I picked the "Song Birds Sing" paper to work on. The back of the paper has a perfect grungy feel already and only needed a bit of enhancing to get the perfect look.

I added more interest with paint and random stamping with black ink. Small details like the punchy flair and the stars from the Architextures Junk Pack "Cabin" add the right style touch.

I love the piece from the Junk Pack that looks like an old distressed wallpaper - dirty and all - and I added it under the photo of my daughter. You must say I picked the right picture for this challenge. She looks both really grungy and she is fearless in a good way - and I do hope that she will continue growing up like that.

Do you see the piece that looks like lace above and below? Well that is also a piece from Architextures Junk Pack "Grunge". It´s self adhesive and dimensional and best of all really flexible. Love it!

The challenge;

Capture the Moment Box - Scrap FX Design Team

Hello crafty souls! Sharing my new project for Scrap FX today.

I live really close to the sea – in fact I see it from our windows – and I love everything about the sea. I could not live further into the country – I panic when I am to far from water… The sea was the inspiration from these two pieces done with the Mercator Flourish, the Rolling Waves & the Sandy Toes Sunkissed Nose wordlet.

This object is a decorated cardboard box. My girl likes to collect shells and they lay all around. I was thinking that a nice little box would keep them gathered… The box was painted with black matte gesso and then the lid was covered with a piece of patterned paper & the Mercator Flourish. The Chipboard piece was painted in two steps (light paint first, dark thereafter) to archive interest and dept.
