Hello Sweet followers!

Art Journal Spread "Be in the Moment" - Design in Papers Guest Designer

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you have a great week ahead of you and that you will find time for some fun & relaxing craft. Today I´m sharing a Art Journal spread made in a Travelers Passport Book from Prima Marketing that I created for Design in Papers.

I travel a lot due to work and for a long time I have been looking for some sort of book or paper pack to bring with me on my travels. When I found this one it was a perfect match. The book is small so it fit in my handbag and will be perfect to use on flights or on the train.

I created this spread with watercolors from watercolors, stamps & stickers from Finnabair/Prima Marketing & love how it turned out. I also used a stencil from AB Studio. Please watch the video below for the creative process.

Spring Tag - Woodouts Guest Designer

Spring is just around the corner and a spring tag togheter with a bunch of tulips is the perfect gift for someone you care about. I created this tag with the help of some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists & flower elements and a stencil from AB Studio.

I painted the Woodouts tag with white High Impact Paint and then added texture with the help of the AB Studio stencil & modeling paste. When dry I sprites water and started adding the different shades of Glimmer Mist. I LOVE that about Woodouts products - you can use as much water as you want without risking of distroying your surface.

You can see how the light catch the shimmer from the Glimmer Mists.

I added the flower elements to create depth and I just LOVE how this turned out. I even might skip my original plan to give it away and instead hang it on a nail in our hallway so it is the first thing I see when I come home from my job - happy thoughts is always welcome!

Layout "Own Your Dreams" - Cuts2luv Guest Designer

Saying a sad goodby today because this is my last post as Guest Designer for Cuts2luv! Have loved every minute of this visit & hope that Caroline will have me back sometime. I want to share this layout with my sweet son Max. This photo of him is a couple of years old - he turns 15 next month - but I still love it to bits! I found the perfect flair to go with it - the Smile one cause he has such a sweet smile, and then the one with the metallic butterflies that has the same colors as his glasses. Well - I really hope you like this as project as I do!

Love how the birdy that I cut from an AB Studio paper sort of smiles as well...

Do you see that the butterflies has the same color as Max glasses?

"Snowflake" Tags - Cuts2luv Guest Designer

Today I´m sharing a set of tags created with inspiration from the current challenge at Cuts2luv. 

I did go with the Christmas Badge, the blue & withe colors and the snowflakes. 

The patterned paper from Canvas Corp is really jolly & fun and fit well with the sneaky little elf on the badge. 

The second tag is more traditional. I used a settled striped paper togheter with the snowflake & a simple Noel badge.

"Silver Star" - Woodouts Guest Designer

 

Hi sweet crafty souls! 

Today I´m sharing a Christmas Ornament made with a lovely large MDF star from Woodouts!

If you not yet have discovered the products it is time you do so!

I wanted a vintage shabby shic feel to this project, so I started by painting the sides of the star with white gesso before adding a patterned paper from AB Studio. I added a settled wood landscape using a stencil and white embossing powder. Then I added the cluster that I built with cut out elements from AB Studio, flowers & chipboard.

 The Merry Christmas sentiment was stamped & embossed with shiny black embossing powder from Swedish company Reprint. Love how it turned out!

Tags "Make today Magical" - Cuts2luv Guest Designer

Have you started to craft for Christmas yet? Well as December is closing up shortly I have couple of tags that might inspire you to start. I love to create tags to put on the Christmas gifts, and adding badges to them - well - do I need to say it - it´s a MUST.

This first tag was creted with papers from 7 Dots Studio (Northern Light Collection) and I wanted the tag to catch the feeling of anxiety that you feel waking up on Christmas morning.

The badge with the words Make today Magical was perfect for this, don´t you think?

I love that it is white and pops against the grey paper and the bright red decorations.

My second tag has much more settled and soft colors. I actually had a thought on which parcel this would go on as I created it - I have knitted a few gifts...

The flower arrangement on this badge reminds me of the ones that you can dress up your front porch with. And what better way to use your knitted gift than outside the porch ...

The colors in the badge give the tag the right christmas feel even though I used soft colored decorations & paper.

Tag "You look great" - Woodouts Guest Designer

I´m really happy to show my first project as Woodouts Guest Designer today!

Woodouts is a new company that produces large MDF shapes that you can use as base for your Mixed Media projects. They are really good quality, sturdy and comes in a variety of shapes and sizes.

For this project I used one of the tags - the largest one.

This is how I used it to create the cool tag above:

I first painted the tag with black matte gesso. Then added modeling paste trough the beautiful stancil from AB Studio. 

To give the pattern a shimmery metallic look I painted over it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam. I also stamped & embossed a scripted pattern.

I crated more interest with splatters of Tattered Angels Mists.

As decorations I used stamped & painted image & a sweet sentiment.

The tag was really fun to work with. It was fun to do a project with a lot of wet mediums that not bent by getting wet or dried with a heater. 

I will give this tag to one of my dear friends who owns a clothes shop. I really can see the tag hanging on the wall in one of the dressing rooms, can´t you?
