Spring Card - ABstudio Design Team

I am super excited to share my first post as a part of AB studio Design Team. This will be a fun and exciting adventure and I look forward to work with the talented ladies above.

I have been working with two stencils on these cards.

I tried a really fun thing - I created the golden leaves by using Flitter Glue & Mega Flakes from Indigoblu (had some left from my team as DT there). I love how it turned out!! Will definitively try that again.

I also used a golden posca pen to add details with the no 10 stencils. Love to use dots on my projects!

Just passing by today to wish you a wonderful Easter Holiday! Hopefully the cards below will find their way to the reciever in time.

 



 

I have used papers from Canvas Home Basics (Yellow and White Mini Dots & Yellow and White Big Stripes)  for both my cards, togheter with Yellow Hemp Rope and chipboards and wood products from Sa Crafters. The Chipboard on the card above was painted with high impact paint from Tattered Angels.



This card above originally had white fowers but a couple of dusts with different Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists made them yellow and golden (Sun Sisters, Twinkle Yellow, Gold).

Layered Valentines Card - Canvas Corp Brands

Do you send cards to your friends and family for Valentines Day? Or exchange gifts? Well, a handmade card can never be wrong, right? This layered and romantic card will find it´s way to a loved person this year. It was made using loving papers from Canvas Corp together with Glimmer Mists and teamed embellishments.

The card base was made with the Pink & Ivory Toile Paper. The first layer from the Paris Hearts Paper. To create a dept to the card white tissue paper was wrinkled and then sprayed with Glimmer Mist in the color Black Cherry.

A good idea to create a high card is to use a pice of cardboard (from a box or a cerial package). The doily and the Black on Kraft Monogram “L” was glued to a piece of cardboard like that. The sentence comes from the Sending Love Words Paper.

The little heart was cut out from the Paris Hearts Paper, folded and then painted with Glimmer Glaze (Paradise Pink). The little tag underneath the heart was stamped with a 7 Gypsies Wood Stamp. The card was finished off with splatters of two colors of Glimmer Mist.

For a Friend

Today I´m showing you a card I made for a crafty friend for her birthday!

The chipboard comes from Sa Crafters! They have a wide range of fun and versatile chipboard as well as MDF products.

Splatters of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists is a must to all my projects. The chipboard was painted with Glimmer Mist as well.

Happy Birthday with a dot

You never get enough of Birthday cards right? I made this one using a lot of Canvas Corp, 7 Gypsies and Tattered Angel products for the Jot Magazine December-January mood board. I love how it turned out!

I basically punched out round circles from a white cardstock and painted them with Glimmer Mist. Then I plattered some of the same mist over the card base, glued on the circles after a bit of random stamping and then finished of with the tag, tread and the clothes pin. Easy peasy!

Paper Wings Guest Designer - Card Set

Today I am showing you a card set made with the Tea Time July Nesting Components Mixed Media kit.

Both card has a brown cardstock as it´s base. I choose to use different patterned papers from the paper pad that comes with the kit. To match the cards I choose to use leftovers from one card on the other card. I also used the same ribbons, paints and gesso.

For this card I used one of the pictures from the clip art sheet. I have distressed it a bit on the edges to create texture. I don´t like my cards to flat. The ATC chipboard frame from Um Wow Studios made it´s way up on the top of the card. It´s partly covered with gesso. The Swirl stamps turned out nice stamped and embossed with white embossing powder. I have used the same techniques on the card below, gesso on the chipbard, embossing and splatters of mist and paint. It looks totally different though even though the material is the same.

After finishing my card I had some paper strips left. Instead of throwing them away, used them for a set of tags. I used the same materials on these as on the cards.

Settled card for ScrapPlezier

All of my June projects for ScrapPlezier was cards. Maybe it has something to do with the range of birthdays we celebrate in June... I´m showing you another card made by using the Pickled Pear Collection from Keisercraft. I have layerd up the card by using different patterned papers from the collection. Then I added a piece from the collectables and a couple of flowers and a string. The black flower is really two flowers that I have put together with a bit of glue. Hope you like it!

Another Card for ScrapPlezier

I´m showing another of my June projects for the ScrapPlezier blog today. A good to have card. I usually make a couple of them every month, just to have if someone needs one, or I forget a birthday (not unusual...). This one is made by layering patterned papers and embellishments. I have used the Pickled Pear Collectables from Kaisercraft and flowers from my stash. I sprayed the flower with a bit of spray mist. To get a bit of texture I applied modeling paste trough a stencil. I finished off the card by adding a piece of black string from MayArts.

A card for ScrapPlezier

I´m showing you my latest DT project for ScrapPlezier today. I made this card for my mother in law as a gift for mothers day. I used a plain cardstock as base and patterned papers from Kaisercrafts collection Pickled Pear. The embellishments are mostly from my stash, like the cheese cloth and the random flowers. You can find the little bottle and the pearls in the store. Loooove the bottle! Enjoy!

Spring Colors - Allt om Scrap May Designers Challenge

I made this sweet card by scraps of papers, flowers from Prima, butterflies from Pion Design and the die-cut sentence from 7 Dots Studio. Ink from Ayeeda/13@rts.

Linnie Blooms May Challenge - Always yours card

Are you up for the May Challenge when the Designers have been challenged to use Linnie Bloom Canvas Flowers? I´m going to show you an alternative way of using Linnie Blooms product for creating your flowers. Here is my step-by-step on how to make it happen.

And this is my finished result. I painted the flowers with a bit of Heidi Swapp Mist to achieve the right effekt. I also reshaped the flowers a bit to give make them a bit wider.

More 7 Dot´s Studio

Easter is soon over. We have been away resting and socializing in our caravan. Celebrating a 6 year old and had wonderful meals. Bulked up with tranquility to produce more creativity the next coming weeks. 

I´m showing another card made for my Guest Design spot with 7 Dot´s Studio today. This one made with paint, ink, gesso and strips of patterned papers. Love the alphas and the little die cut sentence card!

7 Dot´s Studio Guest Designer - Love you to the moon

I´m showing a card I made for my Guest mission with 7 Dot´s studio. This card was made using 3 collections - Hopefully, Love is in the Air and Messy Head.

The card was made using a patterned paper as base (Love is in the air - Illusion). I layered a couple of leftover pieces from the same paper and covered it with different layers of gesso and ink. When dry I added the randomly stamped details (stamp fom Prima Marketing). The frame was cut out from Hopefully "Never let me go". The sentence is a round die cut from the Messy Head line. Decoration is from my stash and if I don´t remember wrong the heart is Maya Road and the flowers Prima. The photo holder is 7 Gypsies i think. Ink from Ayeeda (13arts).

Linnie Blooms March Sketch

It is still a couple of days left of March so you have time to do your interpretation of the March sketch at Linnie Blooms design team blog.

This is my card using the sketch, I have used canvas shapes from Linnie Blooms (feather and square) + bit and bobs from the March Cocoa Daisy kit Grey Street.

Coffee every day!

One of lifes precius moments is the first cup of coffee for the day. We celebrated our love for coffee & tea at the Allt om Scrap blog the other day. I made this card for the occation.

Sweet Baby Cards

This thing with stepping outside the box and create with material given to you can really push my creativity. I got these goregous papers from Pion Design and just loved playing with them. I made these two cards for this past Sundays issue of Allt om Scrap.

 

They are a lot more romantic than my usual style, but really - my cards tend to have a semi romantic touch that my other work don´t. Wonder why that is....

 

I have used the Sweet Baby Collection from Pion Design for both my cards.
