Art Journal Spread "Be in the Moment" - Design in Papers Guest Designer

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you have a great week ahead of you and that you will find time for some fun & relaxing craft. Today I´m sharing a Art Journal spread made in a Travelers Passport Book from Prima Marketing that I created for Design in Papers.

I travel a lot due to work and for a long time I have been looking for some sort of book or paper pack to bring with me on my travels. When I found this one it was a perfect match. The book is small so it fit in my handbag and will be perfect to use on flights or on the train.

I created this spread with watercolors from watercolors, stamps & stickers from Finnabair/Prima Marketing & love how it turned out. I also used a stencil from AB Studio. Please watch the video below for the creative process.

Art Journal "Bird" - Mixed Media & Art Design Team

Hello Crafty Souls!

I´m here to share my inspiration piece for the current challenge at Mixed Media & Art - a Art Journal page. I also was inspiered by the monocromatic challenge at scrapki-wyzwaniowo this month.

The November 15 - December 14 Challenge board "Poetry"

I created my page using different mists from Tattered Angels. Layering them with a brush & water and drying in between. A used a script stamp & dark orange stamping in between the layers.

Stamped flowers & leaves from AB Studio painted with bright yellow and dark green mist.

I´m not that much into poetry - but I found this quote that sounds sort of like poetry to me ....

More details of the flowers & leaves. I also added a black stamped script randomly over the page.

Tag "ART" - Mixed Media & Art Design Team

Dear Crafters - I´m here today with my inspiration piece for the August Challenge at Mixed Media & Art -  "Colors of Life".

 Color is a big part of my life as it is the essence of my Art! I have always loved colors, painting, drawing and sketching. I can´t pass a beautiful yarn ball in the craft store without buying it and every Friday I buy myself a beautiful boquet of colorful flowers. 

I created a tag with some of my favourite mists from Tattered Angels togheter with stamps & stencils from AB Studio and decorations from 7gypsies Architextures.

A Day by the Sea Layout

Happy Thursday crative souls! We are in the middle of summer and what could be better and a Sea & Beach inspired layout? I have had these wonderful papers from the Canvas Corp collection Ship to Shore and the new challenge at More than Words gave me the reason to use them. The challenge is called Beach & Seachells, and well - you get it...

Where I live you can count the occasions when it is warm enough to actually go to the beach. Spending time by the sea on the other hand is something we do on a daily basis. I love this picture of my kids from two summers ago. We went to a old fishing shore and they ran around there exploring the surroundings. Lots of shells to pick, beautiful stones and old lighthouses to explore. The sea was cold that that so they did not dip their toes, but ran around the beach without shoes. Spreading the summer dirty toes in the sand...

Junk Journal "Nature" - Scrap FX Design Team

Today I´m sharing my Junk Journal created for the Scrap FX Design Team. This Journal "Nature" comes with a kit that includes 2 lasercut pages/3designs, 8 random pages including index card, artisan shape, and white tag, plus cover page, transparency, waxed thread and instructions. Some pages will vary.

Cover with patterend papers and Scrap FX chipboards as embellishments. I did some random stamping with the Round & Round stamp & the Scribbles Stamp.

Back with splatters of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and random stamping with the Round & Round stamp again.

Details from inside:

The small circles comes was made with a waterproof pen & Mark Making F Dots & Rectangles stencil.

Square patterns was made using the same stencil as above, but as compliment to the pen I also used mist.

Nature Your Soul - Words & Paintery Design Team

May 15 and it is time for a new challenge at Words & Paintery. I created this layout using scraps that was laying around my craft table. That is really a fun thing - to "only" use things that lays around you and not anything else. Well I must say I cheated a bit - the background paper was picked out especially by it´s color... I also had the May Challenge at Scrapki-wyzwaniowo in mind when creating this page. Their theme this month is "Sky" and this time of year, early in the morning when I leave for work, the sky has a pale blue color that are SO beautiful!

Love the lace pattern that stencil no 7 from AB studio creates. Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists add lots of shimmer - colors Blue Bubbles, Dazzling Diamonds, Pearl, Abdominal Snowman.

Conutry Girl Art Journal Page

Hi there crafty souls! I´m taking part of the Soul Journey Classes for 2018 and in February my friend Aga Baraniak was the tutor. She crated this beautiful Art Journal and this is my interpretation after watching her video.

File folder ATC cards

How about being creative with some junk? Do you throw away all your offcuts and leftover bit & bobs. Well I do mostly, but occasionally I spare some parts. These ATC cards was something I created the other day with scraps laying around my really messy craft table.

The mini file folder cards from Canvas Corp is something I have had for years but never found good use for. Now I decided to challenge myself and use them for a set of ATC´s. I was inspiered by Fiona Paltridge´s online class for Soul Journey 2018, in which she used a combination of fabric, paper dolls and stamped wings. 

My cards was built with burlap & corrugated paper pieces from Canvas Corp The ladies was cut out from patterned papers from 7gypsies and the colorful paper pieces was cut from the papers I have used to cover pieces of art when misting with my Tattered Angels mist.

I stamped butterflies and colored them with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist before fussy cutting them. 

I really love how these turned out!
