The magic mushroom - MMP Challenge

Maybe it was the pictures, maybe it was the fall outside, maybe it was the feeling of being in a dream world when taking a morning walk, but the other day I created this magic mushroom inspiered by the current challenge at Mixed Media & Art. 

I painted & decorated this MDF mushroom from Woodouts with resin pieces & paint from Finnabair for Prima Marketing. Black gesso covered with Art Alchemy Sparks add the base. Then I added different resins (created from the Stars & Moon mould), mechanicals and art pebbles. 

Texture was created with a stencil from AB Studio & modeling paste. You find all products linked below.

Card "Be cool" - Mixed Media & Art Design Team

Happy Friday sweet followers! I´m here today to show you my inspiration piece for the Mixed Media & Art January/February Challenge. I created a card in cold colors with this moths wintery moodboard in mind.

"Coolness" Jan 15 -- Feb 14

I used papers from AB Studio to form the base & layers of my card. Glimmer Mists in a silver shade splattered over the card looks like ice and the stars got a coat with the same color so shiver.

White flowers and frosty berries give the right cold effect.

Winter Music - Mixed Media & Art Design Team

Hi Crafty Souls! I hope you´re enjoying the last days of 2018. Today I´m here to with my inspiration piece for the December Challenge at Mixed Media & Art.

The December 15 - January 14 moodboard "Winter Melody":

I was inspired by the house shapes, the colors and the animals & created used different paints & mists from Tattered Angels to paint the MDF house from Woodouts. 

I spritzed the chipboard pieces with two light tones of Glimmer Mist before adding them to the MDF. Some small glimmering stones add a bit of extra sparkle.

Art Journal "Bird" - Mixed Media & Art Design Team

Hello Crafty Souls!

I´m here to share my inspiration piece for the current challenge at Mixed Media & Art - a Art Journal page. I also was inspiered by the monocromatic challenge at scrapki-wyzwaniowo this month.

The November 15 - December 14 Challenge board "Poetry"

I created my page using different mists from Tattered Angels. Layering them with a brush & water and drying in between. A used a script stamp & dark orange stamping in between the layers.

Stamped flowers & leaves from AB Studio painted with bright yellow and dark green mist.

I´m not that much into poetry - but I found this quote that sounds sort of like poetry to me ....

Love the bird rubon from 7gypsies Architextures.

More details of the flowers & leaves. I also added a black stamped script randomly over the page.

"Book of Souls" - Mixed Media & Art Design Team

Hi sweet followers!

I´m here today to show my inspiration piece for the October Challenge at Mixed Media & Art - "Alchemy".

I love the feeling in this moodboard (as always) and picked up the colors, the map,the stars and the feeling of that reminds me of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies.

I created the texture on the book by stamping & embossing with a map stamp I had in my stash. Then spritzed on Glimmer Mists from Tattered Angels. 

I added random decorations before stamping & gilding the compass. All decorations where colored with the help of my finger tip and different shades of High Impact paints. 

I also applied golden paint with my finger to highlight parts of the map pattern. 

I love how it turned out! What do you think?

Hi Crafty Souls!

I´m here today with my inspiration piece for the September Moodboard at Mixed Media & Art. I was inspired by the books & the fantastic colors in this moodboard and decided to create a bookmark. For me fall is equal to reading - one of my favorite things is to sit on the front poach under a blanket, with a book and a good cup of coffee in my hands.

I tried to capture the mix of golden, bronze and browns when creating the bookmark. The black chalkstock bookmark from Canvas Corp was perfect as base. I added texture with a AB Studio stencil and modeling paste before blending different shades of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists.

The leaf turned out lovely! I cut it from a piece of cardboard using a stencil from AB Studio to get the shape. I painted it golden with Tattered Angels High Impact Paints in 3 cotes - if you look closely you can see that I used purple & gold. Layer 1 was gold, 2 purple and 3 gold again.

To get even more texture I added stars with a stencil & modeling paste and then added a stack of Finnabair metals to resemble the compass on in the moodboard. I love the quote on the sentiment strip from 7 Dots Studio!

Dear Crafters - I´m here today with my inspiration piece for the August Challenge at Mixed Media & Art -  "Colors of Life".

 Color is a big part of my life as it is the essence of my Art! I have always loved colors, painting, drawing and sketching. I can´t pass a beautiful yarn ball in the craft store without buying it and every Friday I buy myself a beautiful boquet of colorful flowers. 

I created a tag with some of my favourite mists from Tattered Angels togheter with stamps & stencils from AB Studio and decorations from 7gypsies Architextures.

Art Journal "Salt in the Air" - Mixed Media & Art Design Team

Good Day Crafty Souls!

I´m here today to show you my inspiration piece for the July Challenge "Sea Fantasies".

The Sea is something precious to me. I grew up by the sea & spent all vacations throughout my childhood and youth on a boat with my parents. I still live by the sea - I can watch it´s marvelous scenery from our house, and it never stops to amaze me. I could not live anywhere where there was no sea or water in sight!

I ended up making this Art Journal spread with textures from AB Studio stencils and loads of random stamping and Tattered Angels mists, High Impact paints & Glimmer Glam paints. Stickers from 7 Dots Studio add the final touch.
