Art Journal "Bird" - Mixed Media & Art Design Team

Hello Crafty Souls!

I´m here to share my inspiration piece for the current challenge at Mixed Media & Art - a Art Journal page. I also was inspiered by the monocromatic challenge at scrapki-wyzwaniowo this month.

The November 15 - December 14 Challenge board "Poetry"

I created my page using different mists from Tattered Angels. Layering them with a brush & water and drying in between. A used a script stamp & dark orange stamping in between the layers.

Stamped flowers & leaves from AB Studio painted with bright yellow and dark green mist.

I´m not that much into poetry - but I found this quote that sounds sort of like poetry to me ....

Love the bird rubon from 7gypsies Architextures.

Hope I could inspire you today!

A Day by the Sea Layout

Happy Thursday crative souls! We are in the middle of summer and what could be better and a Sea & Beach inspired layout? I have had these wonderful papers from the Canvas Corp collection Ship to Shore and the new challenge at More than Words gave me the reason to use them. The challenge is called Beach & Seachells, and well - you get it...

Where I live you can count the occasions when it is warm enough to actually go to the beach. Spending time by the sea on the other hand is something we do on a daily basis. I love this picture of my kids from two summers ago. We went to a old fishing shore and they ran around there exploring the surroundings. Lots of shells to pick, beautiful stones and old lighthouses to explore. The sea was cold that that so they did not dip their toes, but ran around the beach without shoes. Spreading the summer dirty toes in the sand...

Love the rubons from 7 Gypsies Architextures!

Cut out shells & a shellfish under cover ...

Love splatters of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists.

Word stickers from 7 Dots Studio are great!

This is the challenge board from More than Words:

I used these products for the project:
Word stickers from 7 Dots Studio, stamps from Prima Marketing

Nature Your Soul - Words & Paintery Design Team

May 15 and it is time for a new challenge at Words & Paintery. I created this layout using scraps that was laying around my craft table. That is really a fun thing - to "only" use things that lays around you and not anything else. Well I must say I cheated a bit - the background paper was picked out especially by it´s color... I also had the May Challenge at Scrapki-wyzwaniowo in mind when creating this page. Their theme this month is "Sky" and this time of year, early in the morning when I leave for work, the sky has a pale blue color that are SO beautiful!

Love the lace pattern that stencil no 7 from AB studio creates. Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists add lots of shimmer - colors Blue Bubbles, Dazzling Diamonds, Pearl, Abdominal Snowman.

Love the chipboard arrow from Scrap FX.

Here the challenge from Words & Paintery

Deep Inside - Mixed Media & Art Design Team

Today I share my inspiration piece for the April Challenge at Mixed Media & Art.

I used a wonderful woodgrain paper from 7gypsies Architextures™ called "Painted Doors". On the background I added texture with the help of stencil no 23 from AB Studio.

Chipboards & Architextures Findings add more texture & dimension together with micro beads & flowers. Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists add the right shimmer.

I´m looking forward to see what you come up with inspired by this challenge.

I have used these products (and more):

Beginning of 2018 Art Journals

Happy New Year Creative Souls! I´m her today to share two of my first Art Journal spreads for this new year. First out My journey with the Scrap FX Art Journal continues in the new year and this month I have used the Petal Pattern Stencil together with the Steampunk Key Corner & “extraordinary” from the #surrealwording set.

I love that you can use the Scrap FX stencils so many ways. You can use them to mist over, to create pattern, so draw around etc. I used two techniques on this spread. First I applied heavy white gesso trough the Petal Pattern stencil to create texture. Then when dry I used a sponge and black stamping ink to create the black bold pattern. I don´t care that the pattern is a bit “broken” that gives more character and interest in my meaning.

The Steampunk Key corner is really beautiful and I wanted to use it on a project that would let it stand a bit for itself. I found it to be perfect in on corner of my spread. I followed up the metallic pink splatters with painting the chipboard piece in the same color. Makes it really pop.

I had the intention to paint the #surreal wording as well, but decided it would look better natural – love how it turned out with the black text strip above.

My second spread was made for Canvas Corp Bands Creative Crew. It´s about my Craft resolutions for 2018.

I have been working with the 7gypsies Architextures Parchment Rub-ons on this spread and really love how it turned out! Please visit the Canvas Corp Brands blog here for more details on how this was made.

So what is your creative vice during 2018?

Leave us a comment – I would love to know!

Until next time!

Belive in Magic - Mixed Media & Art Design Team

2017 has come to it´s end and today I share my project inspired by

created a layout with a feeling of cold weather, snow and crispy air. You know how the world looks and the air feels when it is really, really cold outside.

This is the moodboard:

I have used a really beautiful paper from 7 Dots Studio Collection Northern Lights together with sweet flowers & wood decorations

The is wood doily & stencil with the small dots is designed by Aga Baraniak

The leaved, trees & the lace doily was die cut out from a 7gypsies Architextures™ paper. The start on top of the trees also comes from 7gypises Architextures™ - from the Junk Pack called "Cabin". They are really cool, and the best part is that they are flexible so you could actually bend them is you want to.

More details:

I hope I could inspire you today & hope that you will entry our challenge with a project!

Have a good ending to 2017 & a really
