May 15 and it is time for a new challenge at Words & Paintery. I created this layout using scraps that was laying around my craft table. That is really a fun thing - to "only" use things that lays around you and not anything else. Well I must say I cheated a bit - the background paper was picked out especially by it´s color... I also had the May Challenge at Scrapki-wyzwaniowo in mind when creating this page. Their theme this month is "Sky" and this time of year, early in the morning when I leave for work, the sky has a pale blue color that are SO beautiful!

Love the lace pattern that stencil no 7 from AB studio creates. Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists add lots of shimmer - colors Blue Bubbles, Dazzling Diamonds, Pearl, Abdominal Snowman.

Love on Canvas - Words & Paintery Creative Team

Today I´m sharing my project for the brand new challenge at Words & Paintery. I created a canvas using a 12x12 Canvas piece from Canvas Corp & embroidery hoop. 

The Challenge Board:

I created texture to the canvas with heavy white gesso and then used water color pencils to get the right color shades. 

The embellishements came from my pile of nicknacks - the big flower is handmade and was given to my daughter who wanted me to use it for a project.

Echo Card - Words & Paintery Creative Team

January has been hectic and my blog has been suffering... Today I am here to share this card I made for the current challenge at Words & Paintery! I hope you will join in - as always there is great inspiration from the Creative Team in the Words & Paintery blog.

I used a patterned paper from 7 Dots Studio as backdrop for my decorations. The small raised dots comes from a combination of one of Aga Baraniak`s great stencils and black gesso. Tag & word stickers also from 7 Dots Studio. All ink from Tattered Angels.

Winter Tag - Words & Paintery Creative Team

It´s time for a New inspiring Challenge at Words & Painted and this month I created a tag inspired by the challenge below.

I added layers of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists on a white tag & then decorated it with delicate flowers, leaves and berries.

I used these Glimmer Mists:

Christmas ATC´s - Words & Paintery Creative Team

Just checking in today to share my project for the new Words & Paintery Challenge. I made a set with ATC cards using a background paper I created by layering Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and water. Think working with watercolours - this works pretty much the same way.

I use a watercolour paper that I add water to - then start spraying mists over it randomly. The colors blend in a beautiful way and when dry you get a really cool effect. I used these colors that are in line with the Words & Paintery Challenge colors this month:

Fearless fall tags - Words & Paintery Creative Team

Hi everyone! I´m here today with my project for this months challenge at Words & Paintery. I bit tricky color combination for me actually - but I do love a challenge. This is the challenge. Love the quote even though I could not find the place for it on my tags. 

Words & Paintery has a collaboration with Fabrika Decoru this month and I made a small video tutorial on how I integrated their products in my project.

Wet, silence & light tags - Words & Paintery Creative Team

Today I´m sharing my project for the August Challenge at Words & Paintery. I was inspired by both the colors and the sentiment. 

I made the tags using white plain tags from Canvas Corp. Then I added texture using modeling paste and a stencil from 7 Dots Studio. Layers of Tattered Angels Mists made a great color palette - I used Glimmer Mist in the shades "Emerald Green" and "Key Lime Pie" & Chalkboard Mist in the shade "Sprout". 

The clear pebbles from Finnabair & clear perls from 13@arts symbolize water drops. I also used die cut shapes from 7 Dots Studio.

Single Step - Words & Paintery Creative Team

Hello sweet followers! I´m here today with my most recent layout created for the new challenge at Words & Paintery. Have you not yet found their challenges - please give them a chance - always great prizes and the challenges are just that - a real challenge!!

I created this page with a white cardstock from Canvas Corp as my base. Tattered Angels Mists blended with water make a great backdrop for my photo (by Au-contraire photography). I used Glimmer Mists in the colors Marmelade, Party Pink & Black Cherry. I also used Simply Sheer in the color Aqua.

I created texture using a old stencil I forgot the brand of, and added stamping with one of the stamp from 7 Dots Studios Hazy Days Clear Stamp Set. The delicate flower comes from Prima & the flair from UmWow Studio.

Perfectly Imperfect Card - Words & Paintery Creative Team

It´s time for a new challenge at Words & Paintery today! I made this card inspiered by the moodboard and the quote from Heidi Powell. 

The backround paper from Tattered Angels Mixed Media Orgins is so much perfectly imperfect as it can be - crackled but still beautiful. The butterfly is a rub on from the Parchment Rub on "Grow" (7gypsies Architextures). 

I love how the feathers turned out when I painted them with pink High Impact Paint. They also comes from 7gypsies Architextures - Tall Base Feathers. The Scrap FX chipboard compliment them well.

Shimmering Heart Tag - Words & Paintery Creative Team

I´m here today to show my latest tag for the brand new Words & Paintery Challenge. 

I based my tag with layers of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in the shades Mountain Mist, Navy Blue & Turquoise Blue (almost identical to the shades in the moodboard). I then added crackle paste and left to dry over night. 

Random stamping with black ink and black edges add a bit of grunge to the tag. The wings from Scrap FX is one of my favorite chipboards ever. You can buy yours here. I painted mine with Tattered Angels High Impact paint "Tortoise"  & Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam "Light Blue". I love how the heart turned out when I added silver flakes! The word sticker from 7 Dots Studio is just perfect as a finishing touch!

Happy Card - Words & Paintery Creative Team

We have a new challenge up at the Words & Paintery blog - gorgeous spring colors and a quote that fit any of us crafters. I made this card using beautiful spring colored patterned papers from Green Cat Story, Chippies from Scrap FX and mists & paints from Tattered Angels.

I layered the different patterned papers and added a bit of white gesso. Then applied Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist "Black Cherry", "Dragonfly" and "Eclectic Blue" both with a brush and splatters.  When dry I added the Scrap FX chipboard (painted with white High Impact paint from Tattered Angels), flowers, micro beads, and pebble stones.

Loving someone - Words & Paintery Creative Team

Time for my first "real" post this year! I have been a bit absence - loads to do in the beginning of a new year for me - planning, creating and loads of fun stuff that I will share during the year! Today I share my ATC card set made for the new Words & Paintery Challenge. As always I am the one responsible for picking the colors, and as always I picked a colors scheme I can´t cope with... Well that is the challenge... It looks like this:

I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists to spray over my Canvas Corp ATC cards. Then stamped with a set of 7gypsies stamps. Scraps from 7 Dots Studios Cotton Candy Dreams collection work perfect as embellishments.
