Hello Creative Souls!

I´m here today to share a layout inspired by the February Challenge "Time" from Mixed Media & Art.

Here is the challenge:

If you have kids you know that time seams to fly by. You don´t get any older while your kids just grow & grow. I love this picture of my daughter Alice from when she was about 5 years old. The loved the Pippi Longstocking blanket and used it all the time at the beach. Now she can merely wrap it around her, and hiding in it is not at all an option. When I look at the picture it seams like this was not that long ago - but as I said - Time flies when you have kids.

I love the new Canvas Corp collection Compose Your Life created by Aga Baraniak. I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists to paint the sketched flowers from the Flower Pieces paper and then fussy cut them out. 

I created a background on a white 12x12 cardstock by painting Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists (list in the end of the post) with a water brush. Then added vintage book pages, corrugated paper, stitched stamping and then the cut out flowers. I love how it turned out!

Tulips - Scrap FX Design Team

I´m here today to share my latest project for the Scrap FX Design Team - a canvas with their gorgous chipboard tulips. We have so much snow up here in the north that I really long for spring. 

I spritzed Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in the colors Dragonfly, Patina & Emerald Green to create the background. Then simply added the chipboards & a stamped, fussy cut & painted butterfly. 

The flowers was colored with watercolor pencil to give them a soft look. Love the result!

Love on Canvas - Words & Paintery Creative Team

Today I´m sharing my project for the brand new challenge at Words & Paintery. I created a canvas using a 12x12 Canvas piece from Canvas Corp & embroidery hoop. 

The Challenge Board:

I created texture to the canvas with heavy white gesso and then used water color pencils to get the right color shades. 

The embellishements came from my pile of nicknacks - the big flower is handmade and was given to my daughter who wanted me to use it for a project.

#love - Scrap FX Design Team

As valentines day is coming up I thought I would use some of my Scrap FX chipboards to create a couple of project for the event. I used the Small Damask Heart, the Heart Flowers, I want to grow old with you wordlet & the #love.


Tags & small cards are really usable for Valtentine´s Day so I did go for that when creating. My two tags came together with pieces of paper scraps from Canvas Corp, some die-cuts and the lovely Damask Heart, Heart Flowers & mini sayings from Scrap FX. Random stamping and paint splatters add extra character. The Chipboards where painted with matching Baseboard Mist from Tattered Angels (color Sunburst)

Details:

The small card was really a bonus product. I found this sweet wordlet that say "I wanna grow old with you" and thought it would fit perfect on a small card that could be tucked in a flower bouquet. Again I used scraps & mist to create the card. The shimmer that make the wordlet really pop was sadly really hard to catch on camera. Shimmer created with layers of Tattered Angels High Impact Paint "Light Gold".
