Behind the Dust Cover Layout - 7 Dots Studio Design Team

I´m here with a bit of drama today - this layout I made for 7 Dots Studio is all about the drama in the weather where I live.

You could call me one of the snow people. Well at least sometimes. Where I live there can be big contrasts in the weather, like when this picture was taken – in May – the snow was just falling pretty hard. Two days before we had +20 degrees Celsius.

I used the contrasts on our weather as my inspiration working on this layout. I wanted to make a project with both soft romance and a hardcore feeling. The “Burden” paper from Writer´s Block is perfect for this kind of project since it has both a vintage and a worn feeling to it. The combination with black matte gesso worked out a treat.

I used the Letters Stencil and a white stamping pad to add more interest to the black gesso background. Splatters of black Chalkboard Mist add a bit of mess and depth. My cluster was made from paper scraps and Writer´s Block tags.

A combination of stickers, die cuts, cheese cloth, flowers and Writer´s Block Coordinated Flair from UmWow Studio add extra dimension and interest. And don´t you just love the feathers!

Splatters of soft pink and silver Glimmer Mist together with some sparkly stones add a bit of glamour.

I used the sketch from Scrap Africa´s Challenge no.82 for this page. I love the splatters and dots....

Thank you for stepping by today & hugs from a right now pretty snowy part of Northern Sweden.

{I have used products from 7 Dots Studio, Tattered Angels, UmWow Studio, Prima Marketing, Wild Orchid Crafts.}
