Good Fortune & Luck - 7 Dots Studio Design Team

It is time for a new fun and tryly inspiering challenge at 7 Dots Studio again. This month we encourage you to create projects about Fortunate and Lucky Things. As always the team has rocked the challenge and you must visit the 7 Dots Studio for inspiration. A click on the inspiration circle below will take directly there.

And now to my inspiration project. Good Fortune and Luck made me think of weddings. I decided to make a layout with my favorite picture from a wedding I was invited to photograph this summer. I decided to work with the Homegrown Collection as my base because I think the grungy & dreamy feeling in it fit perfect for a couple that are more Heavy Metal than Mozart (if you know how I mean).

I played with white Heavy Gesso on the centre of the "Wool" 12x12 patterned paper. I stamped on the hearts and sentiments with the Homegrown clear stamp set, and then painted the hearts with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in the color "Capri Blue". I used the same mist for paint splatters.

The page get it´s dimension by the layering leftover pieces from Destination Unknown patterned papers together with a couple of the tags that comes with the Fortune Teller. Snow paste gives an extra texture together with cheese cloth, glass beads and micro beads.

There can never be enough of paint splatters if you ask me - here with Tattered Angels Chalkboard Mist "Chalk". A fun detail that you can see on the picture above is the piece of lace that I "gessoed" down in the center of the layout. Just a piece from an old skirt of mine that I cut into pieces.

A sweet heart from the Destination Unknown Die cut sheet and the sentiment stickers from the Fortune Teller collection finish of the page nicely.

I hope that we will see your entry for this challenge at 7 Dots Studio.

I have used products from 7 Dots Studio. Tattered Angels. Finnabair for Prima Marketing. Maremi´s Small Art. 13@rts.
