Blowing the Wind Tag - MMP Challenge & Canvas Corp Brands Design Team

Hi there sweet followers. I´m here today to show you a tag I made for the January Challenge at Mixed Media Place using the new Architextures from 7gypises. This month challenge moodboard is white, teal, brown, blue - and I loved the quote - the text on my tag could be the sentence to follow (you will find the moodboard in the bottom of this post).

Have you heard about the Architextures? If not - this is something you really MUST check out!

Architextures™ is making everything old, new again by bringing to life realistic representations of vintage finds, salvage yard discoveries and objects we love. 7gypsies was the first to bring vintage crafts to the forefront of the creative market and today the gypsies bring their love of vintage markets, junkyard finds and attic treasures to a new place. Our patented technologies, unique material combinations and attention to detail right down to the packaging make this collection of cleverly designed products that offer a variety of textures, details and adornments perfect for your every creative need. While the collection has a distinctive vintage look, it transcends across many creative styles with a classic, nostalgic appeal.

The name Architextures™ was derived by bringing together the elements we find in architectures both new and old and a variety of textures that we just cannot live without. Each item in the Architextures™ collection resembles the uniqueness, the texture and the dimension of nostalgic objects as they are in reality. While some are shiny and metallic, others are soft and have a natural feel.

Architextures™ is a collection built just like the structures of a building.

I have used the Metal Fan from the Architextures™ Trinkets, Findings and Treasures togheter with a Prima Flower, 7gypsies metal gears, and gemstones from Maremi´s Small Art.
To get a good base for my Glimmer Mists I used Finnabair Heavy White Gesso and Clear Crackle paste. By adding the Gesso in thick layers using a spatula I got a structured background.
This vintage metal fan actual looks like the heavy fans of the past. The embellishment pieces can be removed to allow the fan cage to be open. The metal-like rustic finish gives the embellishment a realistic look.   Love how it turned out.
You will find the MMP Challenge here.

 Thank you for stepping by today!

{I have used products from 7gypsies, Finnabair, Tattered Angels, 7 Dots Studio, Prima Marketing}
