December Daily Dag 10 - Kyla/Cold

Finally - SNOW! And a lot of it. It has been falling all weekend and now we soon have enough to do cross country skiing! If we have time. It´s the Christmas Month.....

Today is it my day for the Allt om Scrap December Daily.

"Bor man i Norrland är man van vid kyla. När det är -26 grader är luften stickande och kall. Men samtidigt finns det inget mer uppfriskande. Lika mycket som man kan se hetta dallra i luften kan man se kylan glittra och glimmra. Få saker är så vackra som gnistrande snökristaller på en gran en riktigt kall och solig januaridag. Under vintern drömmer jag ofta om varma härliga sommardagar, och visst är de underbara. Men nog vill jag också ha ett visst antal riktigt kalla dagar på året också. När man får elda så pannan glöder och bylta på sig nästan alla par långkalsonger man äger."

If you live in the North you are used to cold weather. When it is -26 degrees Celcius the air is painfully cold. But yet there is nothing more refreshing. As much as I love seeing the heat shiver in the air, I love the cold that makes the world glitter. There is few things as beautiful as snow crystals on a tree on a really cold and sunny January day. During the winter I often dream of warm summer days, and sure they are lovely. But I also need a certain amount of cold days as well. When it is so cold that the heater glows and you need all the clothes in the closet to stay warm.
